Perez Announces Hiring of Campaign Manager
Miami, Fla. – Democratic Candide for Senate District 37, Janelle Perez, is staffing up for victory with the hire of Campaign Manager Gianna Trocino Bonner.
“I am excited to welcome Gianna to the team as we fight to take back Senate District 37 and share our message of freedom, equality, and opportunity,” says Janelle. “Gianna’s policy and grassroots organizing experience will help us connect with voters and run a campaign focused on the real issues facing our communities, like access to affordable, high-quality healthcare, combatting the climate crisis, and supporting small businesses.”
Before joining the SD 37 campaign, Gianna held the title of Policy and Campaigns Manager for the CLEO Institute, a science and education based nonprofit focused on climate literacy. She also served as the Chief Legislative Aide to former State Senator José Javier Rodríguez. Gianna began her career as a field organizer in Tallahassee with For Our Future Florida and later served on the scheduling and surrogates team for the Andrew Gillum for Governor campaign. She has also worked as a Public Affairs Account Executive with saltermitchell PR. Gianna is a graduate of the Florida State University and holds a degree in Political Science and Philosophy. She is a Seminole Torchbearer and an alumna of the New Leaders Council and the Florida TaxWatch Citizenship Institute.
Janelle Perez entered the race for SD 37 last month. As a mother, the daughter of Cuban exiles, and a businesswoman, Janelle is running for State Senate to fight for opportunities for every child and family. Her personal experience battling cancer and her professional experience as an advocate and business owner has deepened her commitment to ensuring every Floridian has access to affordable, high-quality healthcare.
